Issue-based Work
Chris proposed the formation of a committee to work on a solution to our problem of involving our members in other movement organizations. We have already devised a solution to our recruiting problem with the GPOP Outreach Working Group, and we have also found a solution to our representation at polling places with our GPOP Electoral Operations Working Group.
It seemed reasonable to Chris that we would next solve the problem of having a Green Party impact within other movement organizations.
There was a long discussion during which very, very few members spoke in favor of Chris’ proposal.
Charles then suggested that we poll our members to see which movement groups they believe are important, and Taj volunteered to post that poll.
[Charles adds: You missed the decision to hold an event around the recently released briefing on Islamophobia: Christian, Hillary, Belinda, Eric, and myself, volunteered to work on that.] “The Green Party Islamophobia Briefing Paper” was posted to Philadelphia’s Greens on April 17. Please see GPOP NEWS, GPOP Chat, and Northwest Greens lists on that date.

Treasurer’s Report
Jarrett reported that GPOP has just over $1,000.00. He thanked GPOP Sustainers for their monthly donations and asked others to join them.
New GPOP T-shirt
Jarrett presented an idea for a new Green Party t-shirt. After discussion, this idea was tabled.
Education Committee
Hillary reported that 5 people attended the first Book Club, and they have planned a second meeting on June 25. The Club is now reading The Democrats: A Critical History by Lance Selfa, 2012, second edition, Haymarket Books.
